A Passion to Serve
Stan Stanart was elected Harris County Clerk on November 2, 2010 and reelected in November 2014 to a second 4 year term. In 2018 due to the over $15 Million spent by the Beto campaign, he and every countywide Republican lost their election.
Stan has spent most of his professional career as an Engineer and being involved in the community to ensure a better future for our children and grandchildren. He was born, raised and educated in Oklahoma, but after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering, Stan quickly moved to Texas. He has worked in the aerospace industry, the Central Test Facility for the International Space Station, and managed technical development teams at Compaq Computer for Desktop Computer and Laptop computer development.
Before serving as your County Clerk, Stan was the Associate Director of Hardware Technology for the Harris County Tax Office where he was responsible for over 600 computers and dozens of servers. Stan has used his technical skills and knowledge to bring innovation and many new efficiencies to the County Clerk’s Office.
